Blog Post 3: Scholarships, College Visits, and Various Other Things

Hey Guys (insert generic sitcom cheering noises here)

what up. I dunno how to start this still.

SITE ADMINISTRATION STUFF/SHILLING MY WRITING WORK(Yeah, we're using headings now)

...uh, administrative things first, uh I got a new link on da site. That's crazy.

Specifically, it's to RoyalRoad. I'm working on a little web-novel series called SUMMON.

Well, I call it little, but as of now, my very basic drafts and what I've written mean it'll probably be, like, 300 chapters.

And yet, it will still be shorter than One Piece.

In all seriousness, I hope you all decide to read it for as long as I remember to make it.

The cretins in this story have been bouncing around my brain tearing up the upholstery for bloody years at this point, and I'm excited to get them out there.

...Oh yeah, speaking of, I should probably give you a synopsis, shouldn't I?

SUMMON is a story about a teenager named Peter Southpaw. He's a strange sort, participating in his school's boxing club.

One night, after a strangely simple match, he meets another boy who claims to know him.

...okay, if I speak any more on it, I'll spoil something. But if you don't care about that sort of thing, sign the guestbook. I will GLADLY info-dump on you.

OTHER STUFF GOING ON

So I've been looking at college applications, and I've narrowed it down to 3 schools.

Let's look at all three, and see what their pros and cons are.

School 1 is incredibly cheap, possibly free...but they offer nothing else for me except a marching band I guess.

School 2(The State School from Devlog 2) has a game dev concentration on their CS program, but more importantly, I have the possibility of getting in for free. Including if I dual major.

There's like, a whole scholarship program I want to apply for.

School 3 is off in a different state, but they have a top game design program. Their scholarships are also solid, I'd pay like $4000 a semester.

Wow, college is expensive. Temmie was real.

...anywho, I want to make games, so that's guiding my decisions.

I also would definitely prefer free college because I don't HAVE thousands of dollars to throw out.

...wow, not much to say right now, eh?

, welp, I guess this is just a quick update to let y'all know I'm surviving and thriving. So that's alright.

See ya.

Back to blog list. Take me home.
